Here at First Baptist Church we are excited to share what God is doing.  Take a look at the opportunities we have to serve the Lord together. 

Pioneer Club

Bible study and Bible memory club for children grades K-6.  Each meeting has games, lessons, and fun along with memorizing Scripture and learning to apply it in their daily lives.

Pioneer Club meets during the school year on Wednesday nights 6-7:30, in the Family Life Center.

Community Ministries

We are part of and support  La Plata Christian Ministries. In addition to various community worship services throughout the year, LCM sponsors the local Food Pantry and Clothing Center.

Associational Activities

Thousand Hills Baptist Association works with churches in the area to provide a variety of opportunities for children and youth as well as mission trips for adults.  The association also offers learning opportunities for church leaders.  

Spiritual Recovery -- Currently on pause...

Are you dealing with addictions, grief, divorce, depression?  Once a month in the Family Life Center Pastor BJ hosts a spiritual recovery session to help anyone who is seeking help.  Everyone is welcome to join the group on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7 pm.

VBS 

A week in summer with Vacation BIble School is one of the most fun weeks of the year.  We enjoy Bible lessons, crafts, great music, mission stories, games and recreation.
